A Canadian qualification, professional experience gained after graduation, and language proficiency may help establish eligibility for one of Canada’s immigration programs.

But there is an important distinction between studying in Canada and qualifying to settle there permanently.

Graduating from a Canadian university or college does not automatically make you eligible for permanent residence.

Consider two international students who complete their studies in Canada.

One graduates from a two-year master’s program, obtains a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP), and finds qualifying employment. Over time, that experience may help the graduate meet the requirements of the Canadian Experience Class.

The other completes a program that is not eligible for a PGWP. Without another form of work authorization or an alternative immigration pathway, remaining in Canada after graduation may be considerably more difficult.

Both students earned Canadian qualifications, but their immigration options are different.

For this reason, students who are interested in permanent residence should evaluate their long-term immigration options before choosing an academic program.

Canada offers several possible pathways for international graduates, including Express Entry, Provincial Nominee Programs, and certain regional immigration programs. The requirements differ, and eligibility depends on each person’s circumstances.

Can International Students Become Permanent Residents in Canada?

Yes. International students and graduates may apply for permanent residence if they qualify under an eligible Canadian immigration program.

However, there is no general federal immigration program that automatically grants permanent residence simply because someone has completed a Canadian degree.

Most economic immigration programs assess combinations of factors such as:

Skilled work experience in Canada or abroad.

English or French language proficiency.

Educational qualifications.

Age and other personal circumstances.

Provincial or territorial nomination.

Qualifying employment or job offers, where required.

Admissibility under Canadian immigration law.

Some pathways require Canadian work experience, while others may recognize qualifying experience gained outside Canada.

This means two graduates with similar Canadian qualifications may have different immigration options because of their previous work experience, language ability, or province of intended residence.

Does a Canadian Degree Help With Immigration?

A Canadian educational credential can provide an advantage in certain immigration programs.

For example, under Express Entry’s Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), eligible Canadian post-secondary education can provide additional points.

Canadian Educational Credential

Additional CRS Points

Eligible one- or two-year credential

15

Eligible credential from a program lasting three years or longer

30

Eligible master’s or doctoral degree

30

These additional education points are subject to IRCC’s eligibility conditions for Canadian educational credentials.

A Canadian master’s degree does not automatically provide more additional Canadian-education points than every bachelor’s degree. The additional points depend on the qualifying credential category.

The overall education score also considers the applicant’s highest level of education and other applicable CRS factors.

However, receiving additional points for Canadian education does not guarantee an invitation to apply for permanent residence.

An applicant must first qualify for an immigration program managed through Express Entry and then have a sufficiently competitive profile for an applicable invitation round.

The Role of the Post-Graduation Work Permit

For many international graduates, the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) is an important opportunity to gain Canadian work experience.

A PGWP is an open work permit available to eligible graduates of qualifying Canadian educational programs.

It can allow graduates to work for eligible employers without obtaining an employer-specific work permit.

However, a PGWP is a temporary immigration document.

It is not a permanent residence application, and receiving one does not guarantee eligibility for Canadian Experience Class or another immigration program.

How Long Can You Work After Graduation?

The potential length of a PGWP depends on the educational credential, program duration, and other eligibility requirements.

Academic Program

Potential PGWP Duration

Eligible master’s degree lasting at least eight months

Up to three years

Eligible program lasting at least eight months but less than two years

Generally up to the program’s duration

Eligible program lasting two years or longer

Up to three years

Eligible combined academic programs

May qualify for a combined duration, subject to IRCC rules

For eligible programs in Quebec, IRCC also uses a 900-hour threshold in certain circumstances.

The three-year PGWP rule for eligible master’s degree programs does not automatically apply to graduate certificates or diplomas.

The final validity period may also be limited by the expiry date of the graduate’s passport.

Not every Designated Learning Institution offers PGWP-eligible programs, and not every program at a PGWP-eligible institution necessarily qualifies.

Depending on the credential and application circumstances, language proficiency and field-of-study requirements may also apply.

Why PGWP Duration Matters for Permanent Residence

The length of a PGWP can affect how much time a graduate has to obtain the work experience required for a permanent residence pathway.

For example, a graduate with a three-year PGWP may have more time to find suitable employment and accumulate qualifying experience than someone who receives a nine-month permit.

The difference matters because the Canadian Experience Class generally requires at least one year of qualifying Canadian skilled work experience.

A nine-month PGWP would not, by itself, provide enough time to accumulate a full year of new qualifying experience.

That does not mean the graduate can never qualify for permanent residence.

They may already have eligible work experience, qualify through another immigration program, or become eligible for a different type of work authorization.

But the shorter permit creates a practical limitation that should be considered when choosing an academic program.

Express Entry After Graduation

Express Entry is an online application management system used by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for several federal economic immigration programs.

International graduates may qualify through Express Entry if they meet the requirements of at least one participating program.

The three federal programs managed through Express Entry are:

Immigration Program

Main Work Experience Focus

Canadian Experience Class (CEC)

Qualifying skilled work experience gained in Program (FSTP)

Qualifying experience in specified skilled trades

For many Canadian graduates, CEC and FSWP are particularly relevant.

However, eligibility for either program does not automatically result in permanent residence.

Candidates who qualify can enter the Express Entry pool, where profiles are ranked using the Comprehensive Ranking System.

IRCC issues invitations through different types of invitation rounds.

Candidates who receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) generally have 60 days to submit a complete permanent residence application.

The application must then satisfy the relevant program requirements, document requirements, and admissibility assessments.

Canadian Experience Class After Graduation

The Canadian Experience Class is one of the main federal immigration programs for individuals who have gained qualifying skilled work experience in Canada.

Under the current requirements, applicants generally need at least:

One year of qualifying Canadian skilled work experience within the three years before applying.

The experience must total at least 1,560 hours.

Eligible occupations fall within National Occupational Classification (NOC) TEER categories 0, 1, 2, or 3.

The work must also be paid and performed while the applicant was authorized to work in Canada.

Applicants may accumulate the required experience through full-time employment or an equivalent amount of eligible part-time work.

IRCC counts no more than 30 hours per week toward the work-experience requirement.

This means working 60 hours per week for six months does not satisfy the requirement for one year of experience.

The applicant must also meet the applicable language requirements.

Language Requirements for Canadian Experience Class

The minimum language requirement depends on the TEER category of the qualifying occupation.

Occupation Classification

Minimum Language Requirement

TEER 0 or TEER 1

CLB/NCLC 7

TEER 2 or TEER 3

CLB/NCLC 5

Applicants must meet the required level in all four language abilities: reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

CLB refers to the Canadian Language Benchmarks for English, while NCLC is the corresponding system for French.

The minimum language requirement establishes eligibility for CEC.

Achieving a higher language score can also improve an applicant’s competitiveness under Express Entry.

.immigration-heading-box{display:flex;align-items:center;gap:20px;background:linear-gradient(110deg,#f0f7f5 0%,#fff class="heading-label">PRACTICAL EXAMPLE
An Example: From Graduation to CEC Eligibility

Consider an international student who completes a two-year master’s degree in computer science at a Canadian university.

After graduation, the student receives a three-year PGWP and finds employment as a software developer.

Assume that the position falls under an eligible NOC TEER category, the graduate works legally in Canada, and the job duties satisfy the applicable occupational requirements.

After completing one year of qualifying employment, the graduate may meet the Canadian work experience requirement for CEC.

However, the graduate must still satisfy the language and other eligibility requirements.

They must also receive an invitation before submitting an Express Entry permanent residence application.

Having one year of experience establishes only one part of the immigration assessment.

Does Work Experience During Your Studies Count for PR?

This is an important distinction for international students who work part-time or complete paid internships during their academic programs.

Canadian work experience gained while studying full-time does not count toward the minimum work experience requirement for the Canadian Experience Class.

IRCC also excludes co-op work terms completed during full-time studies from that requirement.

For example, a student who works as a part-time accounting assistant throughout a full-time bachelor’s degree cannot automatically use those hours to qualify for CEC after graduation.

The experience may still help the student obtain employment, develop professional skills, and build relationships with employers.

However, it does not meet the Canadian work experience requirement for CEC.

There is an important difference under the Federal Skilled Worker Program.

Student Work Experience Under FSWP

The Federal Skilled Worker Program may recognize work experience gained while studying.

IRCC permits eligible paid student work experience, including certain co-op terms, to count toward the program’s minimum work experience requirement if it is continuous and meets the other requirements of FSWP.

Therefore, it would be inaccurate to say that employment during studies never counts toward Canadian immigration.

The treatment of student employment depends on the specific immigration program.

Similarly, Canadian work experience gained while studying full-time generally does not generate Canadian work experience points under the Express Entry CRS.

Applicants should distinguish between work experience that establishes program eligibility and work experience that contributes to their Express Entry ranking score.

Federal Skilled Worker Program: An Alternative to CEC

Not every international graduate needs to accumulate a year of Canadian work experience before becoming eligible for Express Entry.

The Federal Skilled Worker Program may be relevant to graduates who already have qualifying skilled work experience.

This is particularly important for individuals who worked professionally before coming to Canada for their studies.

For example, consider an applicant who worked as a mechanical engineer for four years before beginning a Canadian master’s degree.

After graduation, the applicant may already satisfy the minimum work experience requirement for FSWP based on their previous employment.

They would not necessarily need to wait until completing one year of Canadian employment to establish FSWP eligibility.

However, the applicant must meet the other program requirements.

Main FSWP Requirements

The Federal Skilled Worker Program generally requires:

At least one year of continuous qualifying paid skilled work experience within the previous 10 years.

Work experience in NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3.

A minimum language proficiency of CLB/NCLC 7 in all four abilities.

Qualifying educational credentials.

At least 67 points out of 100 under the program’s separate selection-factor assessment.

Sufficient settlement funds unless an exemption applies.

Compliance with the remaining immigration and admissibility requirements.

The 67-point selection-factor assessment is different from the Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System.

Meeting the 67-point threshold does not mean the applicant has enough CRS points to receive an invitation.

Applicants with foreign educational credentials generally need an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) for FSWP eligibility.

A Canadian educational credential does not require an ECA.

Do FSWP Applicants Need Canadian Work Experience?

No. FSWP does not impose a general requirement to have worked in Canada.

Applicants may qualify using eligible foreign work experience.

This creates an alternative for international graduates who have previous professional experience but have not yet accumulated qualifying Canadian employment.

However, eligibility is not the same as selection.

The applicant’s CRS score must still be competitive for the relevant Express Entry invitation rounds.

How Express Entry Scores Affect International Graduates

Express Entry uses the Comprehensive Ranking System to rank eligible candidates.

A Canadian degree can contribute to an applicant’s score, but education is only one factor.

Other factors can include language proficiency, age, work experience, educational credentials, and provincial nomination.

For this reason, two graduates from the same academic program may have substantially different CRS scores.

One may have several years of qualifying foreign work experience and strong French-language skills.

The other may have limited professional experience and meet only the minimum English-language requirements.

Their educational credentials may be similar, but their overall immigration profiles are not.

.copr-heading-v4{display:flex;align-items:center;gap:18px;background:#f0f5f8;color:#102a43;padding:26px 30px;border:1px solid class="copr-heading-v4">Important Express Entry Changes Effective November 3, 2026

IRCC announced changes to the Comprehensive Ranking System on October 16, 2026.

The changes are scheduled to take effect on November 3, 2026.

A new Labour Market Integration factor will recognize eligible Canadian work experience and certain qualifying job offers in high-wage occupations.

The factor will award points based on either qualifying Canadian work experience or a qualifying job offer, using whichever produces the higher applicable score.

It will not combine both options into one cumulative benefit.

Eligible Canadian work experience in specified high-wage occupations can receive additional points.

Qualifying job offers in eligible high-wage occupations may receive 50, 70, or 100 CRS points, depending on the applicable occupational wage category.

IRCC will also remove the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) requirement for qualifying job offers used for the relevant Express Entry purposes under the new rules.

The changes will require existing profiles to be recalculated, and IRCC has announced a temporary pause in invitation rounds during that process.

For international graduates, the practical implication is that the type of skilled employment they obtain may influence their Express Entry competitiveness.

However, not every job in a TEER 0–3 occupation qualifies for additional high-wage points.

IRCC determines high-wage eligibility using the occupation’s NOC classification and published wage categories rather than simply looking at the salary negotiated by an individual employee.

Graduates should review the updated CRS criteria and the official list of eligible occupations when assessing their profiles after the changes take effect.

Can French Improve Your Chances of Permanent Residence?

French proficiency can be valuable for candidates considering immigration through Express Entry, even when their Canadian education was completed entirely in English.

IRCC awards additional CRS points for qualifying French-language ability.

Applicants who achieve NCLC 7 or higher in all four French-language abilities may receive additional points depending on their English-language results.

Under the current CRS framework, qualifying applicants may receive up to 50 additional points for French proficiency.

French-language proficiency is also one of Canada’s Express Entry category-based selection priorities.

French-Language Category-Based Selection

IRCC’s French-language category generally requires at least NCLC 7 in reading, writing, speaking, and listening.

Applicants must also be eligible for one of the immigration programs managed through Express Entry and meet the requirements applicable to the invitation round.

An international graduate with qualifying work experience and strong French proficiency may therefore have immigration options that differ from those available to someone with similar education and employment but without the required language ability.

However, being eligible for the French-language category does not guarantee an invitation.

Candidates are still ranked and selected according to the applicable invitation rules.

French Language Proficiency Tests →

Occupation-Based Categories in 2026

Canada also uses category-based selection to address particular labour market priorities.

In 2026, these include areas such as healthcare and social services, STEM, skilled trades, education, and transportation.

Additional categories address certain applicants with Canadian experience in medicine, research, and senior management.

The occupational requirements are specific.

For example, holding an engineering degree does not automatically establish eligibility for the STEM category.

The candidate must satisfy the relevant work experience requirements in an occupation included in the official category.

For the renewed occupation-based categories in 2026, IRCC generally requires at least 12 months of qualifying experience in an eligible occupation during the preceding three years.

Students should therefore avoid choosing a degree solely because its broad subject area resembles a category selected for Express Entry.

An academic qualification and qualifying occupational experience are different things.

<p class="has-background class="wp-block-paragraph">Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) provide another possible route to permanent residence.

These programs allow participating provinces and territories to nominate applicants who meet their economic immigration priorities.

Each jurisdiction establishes its own eligibility requirements.

Some streams focus on employment, while others consider specific professional qualifications, provincial education, or labour market needs.

However, a Canadian qualification does not automatically qualify someone for provincial nomination.

How Provincial Nomination Works

A successful applicant receives a nomination from the relevant province or territory.

Depending on the immigration stream, the applicant may then apply for permanent residence through Express Entry or a non-Express Entry process.

An eligible provincial nomination linked to Express Entry provides 600 additional CRS points.

This can substantially improve a candidate’s ranking.

However, nomination does not independently confer permanent residence.

IRCC makes the final decision on the federal permanent residence application, including the applicant’s admissibility.

Provincial Immigration Options Differ

International graduates should assess the requirements in the province where they intend to settle.

The following examples illustrate why provincial immigration planning requires attention to current program rules.

<table Education Stream includes the Career Employment Pathway.

Under its published requirements, applicants generally must have graduated within the previous three years from an eligible Manitoba post-secondary program lasting at least one year.

They must also meet the applicable language requirement, generally CLB/NCLC 7, and satisfy the employment conditions.

These include having a qualifying full-time job offer and working in Manitoba under the specified requirements.

The pathway is not available to every graduate of every Canadian institution.

The location of education, job offer, and current employment are important eligibility factors.

This illustrates how some provincial programs can offer options tailored to graduates with specific local connections.

Atlantic Immigration Program for Canadian Graduates

The Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) is another potential route for people who intend to settle in Atlantic Canada.

The participating provinces are:

New Brunswick.

Nova Scotia.

Prince Edward Island.

Newfoundland and Labrador.

The program generally requires a qualifying job offer from a designated employer, provincial endorsement, and compliance with the applicable immigration requirements.

However, certain international graduates may qualify for an exemption from the program’s usual work experience requirement.

Work Experience Exemption for Atlantic Graduates

Under IRCC’s current rules, eligible international graduates may be exempt from the usual work experience requirement if they completed a qualifying program of at least two years at a recognized post-secondary institution in Atlantic Canada.

Additional conditions apply.

For example, applicants generally must have studied full-time, lived in an Atlantic province for at least 16 months during the two years before graduation, and obtained their qualifying credential less than two years before submitting the permanent residence application.

The exemption does not apply to every graduate.

There are restrictions involving distance education, language-study content, and certain scholarship arrangements.

Even when the work experience exemption applies, the applicant must still meet the other AIP requirements, including the qualifying employment and endorsement conditions.

For students considering universities in Atlantic Canada, these requirements may be relevant to long-term immigration planning.

Permanent Residence After Studying in Quebec

Quebec operates a distinct economic immigration selection system.

International students who intend to settle permanently in Quebec should not assume that Express Entry is the appropriate route.

The Canadian Experience Class and Federal Skilled Worker Program are intended for applicants planning to settle outside Quebec.

It is possible to use qualifying work experience obtained in Quebec for certain federal programs if the applicant genuinely intends to settle outside the province and meets the applicable conditions.

However, applicants planning to remain in Quebec should examine the province’s selection programs.

Quebec’s Skilled Worker Selection Program

Quebec’s Skilled Worker Selection Program, known as the Programme de sélection des travailleurs qualifiés (PSTQ), is the province’s principal skilled worker selection program.

Candidates generally begin by submitting an expression of interest through Arrima.

The program has different selection streams, with requirements related to factors such as occupation, work experience, education, French proficiency, and other applicable criteria.

Quebec may invite candidates whose profiles correspond to its immigration and labour market priorities.

Receiving an invitation does not automatically establish that permanent selection will be granted.

Successful applicants who obtain a Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ) must still complete the applicable federal permanent residence process.

What Happened to the Quebec Experience Program?

The Quebec Experience Program, commonly known as PEQ, previously provided a route for certain Quebec graduates and temporary foreign workers.

Quebec ended the previous program framework in November 2025.

A limited application intake was subsequently made available between July 2 and October 31, 2026, for applicants who met the specified transitional conditions.

That intake has now ended.

Prospective international students should therefore not rely on older guides describing PEQ as an automatically available immigration route after graduation.

The PSTQ and any other currently applicable selection options must be assessed according to Quebec’s latest official instructions.

Can You Apply for Permanent Residence Without a PGWP?

Yes, in some circumstances.

A PGWP is not a universal requirement for Canadian permanent residence.

It is a temporary work permit that may help graduates gain experience, but immigration programs establish their own eligibility conditions.

For example, an international graduate who already has qualifying foreign skilled work experience may meet the minimum requirements for FSWP without first obtaining Canadian work experience through a PGWP.

Another applicant may qualify for a provincial program based on their education, employment, or other qualifying circumstances.

A graduate may also obtain a different form of work authorization, depending on the applicable immigration rules.

The critical distinction is between eligibility for permanent residence and authorization to remain or work in Canada while pursuing that application.

These are separate legal questions.

What Happens if Your PGWP Expires Before You Receive PR?

A PGWP does not automatically remain valid because the holder has created an Express Entry profile or intends to apply for permanent residence.

Similarly, receiving an Invitation to Apply does not automatically extend an existing work permit.

If a graduate’s work permit is approaching expiry, they need to assess whether another legal basis exists to remain and work in Canada.

Bridging Open Work Permit

In certain circumstances, applicants who have submitted a qualifying permanent residence application may be eligible for a Bridging Open Work Permit (BOWP).

The requirements depend on the immigration program.

For eligible Express Entry applicants, IRCC generally requires that the permanent residence application has been submitted and has passed the applicable completeness check.

Applicants must also meet the specific requirements relating to their work permit and temporary resident status.

Having an Express Entry profile in the pool is not sufficient to qualify for a BOWP.

For example, a PGWP holder who is waiting to receive an invitation cannot assume that their work permit will be extended through the bridging work permit program.

A person who has received an invitation and submitted a complete qualifying permanent residence application may be in a different position, provided the remaining conditions are satisfied.

Applicants should review their work permit options before their existing authorization expires.

Can a PGWP Be Renewed?

A PGWP is generally a one-time work permit.

IRCC normally permits an extension only when the original PGWP was issued for less than the graduate’s full eligible duration because their passport expired earlier.

A graduate should not assume that a PGWP can be renewed simply because they need additional time to become eligible for permanent residence.

This is one reason that employment and immigration planning should begin before the work permit approaches expiry.

Choosing a Canadian Program With Permanent Residence in Mind

The academic program you choose can influence your future immigration options, but not always in the way students expect.

A shorter program may cost less and allow you to begin working sooner.

A longer program may provide more time to develop professional skills and, if it meets the relevant PGWP requirements, potentially lead to a longer period of work authorization.

A research-based graduate program may offer funding that reduces the financial burden of studying.

Meanwhile, a program in a particular province may provide access to different local employment markets and provincial immigration options.

However, none of these factors independently guarantees permanent residence.

.sg-graduate-comparison {
Should You Consider Before Choosing Where to Study?

Students who hope to remain in Canada after graduation should consider several factors alongside the quality of their education.

The first is whether the academic program is eligible for a PGWP and, if so, the potential validity period.

The second is whether the graduate’s existing qualifications and work experience may already support eligibility for a permanent residence program.

The third is the province where the student intends to study and eventually settle.

Provincial immigration programs differ, and changes in those programs can significantly affect the opportunities available to graduates.

Language proficiency also matters.

For example, a student who develops strong French proficiency may have different Express Entry opportunities from someone relying solely on minimum English-language scores.

Finally, immigration planning should remain flexible.

Express Entry invitation criteria, provincial nomination programs, and labour market priorities may change during the time a student spends completing a Canadian degree.

A program selected today should not be treated as a guarantee of immigration eligibility several years later.

Questions About Permanent Residence After Studying in Canada

Can I get Canadian permanent residence immediately after graduating from a Canadian university or college?
Possibly, if you already meet the eligibility criteria of a specific immigration pathway. However, graduating from a Canadian institution does not automatically grant or guarantee permanent residence. For example, a graduate who already accumulated eligible foreign skilled work experience prior to studying may qualify for the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) right away, whereas others must gain post-graduation work experience to become eligible.

Do I need a Canadian job offer to apply for permanent residence after studying in Canada?
Not for all programs. Pathways like the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) do not require a job offer. However, under the Express Entry rules taking effect November 3, 2026, valid job offers in eligible high-wage occupations can earn between 50 and 100 CRS points under the new Labour Market Integration factor (without requiring a Labour Market Impact Assessment / LMIA). Other streams, including certain Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) pathways, may still require qualifying employment.

Can an international student apply for Express Entry while still completing their studies in Canada?
Yes, provided you independently satisfy the minimum eligibility requirements of a participating Express Entry program (such as having qualifying foreign skilled work experience under the FSWP). Keep in mind, however, that work experience gained in Canada while studying full-time does not count toward the minimum work experience requirement for the Canadian Experience Class (CEC).

Does obtaining a 3-year Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) guarantee that I will get permanent residence?
No. A PGWP provides temporary open work authorization. To transition to permanent residence, you must accumulate qualifying work experience, meet the criteria of an immigration program (like CEC, FSWP, or PNP), and achieve a high enough CRS score to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) or provincial nomination.

Is it easier to get Canadian PR if I complete a Master’s degree compared to a Bachelor’s degree?
A Master’s degree provides higher baseline education CRS points and unlocks specific Master’s-stream PNP pathways. However, it does not guarantee PR. Eligibility ultimately depends on a combination of factors, including skilled work experience, language proficiency, and age. A Master’s graduate with no qualifying work experience may have fewer immediate options than a Bachelor’s graduate with several years of skilled experience.

Studying in Canada With Long-Term Immigration Goals

For many international students, education and immigration planning are closely connected.

A Canadian degree may improve professional opportunities, and an eligible graduate may have access to temporary work authorization after completing their studies.

That work experience can sometimes support an application for permanent residence.

However, the opportunities depend on the academic program, the applicant’s existing qualifications, their employment circumstances, and Canada’s immigration rules at the relevant time.

Some graduates may qualify through Express Entry. Others may find appropriate options through provincial or regional programs. Some may not qualify for permanent residence immediately after graduation.

The most useful approach is to assess education and immigration options together rather than assuming that graduation automatically creates a pathway to settlement.

Whether you are choosing a Canadian academic program, preparing to graduate, or already working on a PGWP, an assessment of your education, work experience, language proficiency, and immigration status can help identify which permanent residence pathways may be available under the current requirements.

Official Sources:

Quebec PSTQ

Does studying in Canada lead to permanent residence?
